Residents of the Fulton County Women’s Shelter recently enjoyed a day at the spa courtesy of Spa Parties Atlanta. The women were treated to massage, reflexology, hand and nail treatments and facials. For an added pampering touch, butlers served the residents and a host of volunteers entertained the children during the event. This uplifting day also included numerous yoga sessions and education on the health benefits of yoga by Dawn Morgan of Kundalini Yoga.
The inspiring event was a benefit for the Metro Atlanta Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), a nonprofit domestic violence agency that offers safety, support and shelter for thousands of battered women and their children. Along with a generous cash donation from Bank of America, contributions included bath and spa products, inspirational CD’s, t-shirts, bracelets, cosmetics, hair products and catered food. “The Fulton shelter residents felt valued and appreciated because of the special care and thoughtfulness provided by Spa Parties Atlanta. Yvette and her staff pulled out all of the stops and treated the women living in our Fulton shelter to a wonderful day of fun, entertainment, food, gift baskets and pampering,” stated Cathy Willis Spraetz, president and chief executive officer of PADV.
